We are looking for an Accounting Technician to join our finance team in Belfast. This role assists with all financial reporting and control activities undertaken by the Accountant in charge of our European sites.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assist the Accountant in monthly, quarterly and yearly close and reporting to the Global Financial Controller
  • Support the Accountant in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the financial statements
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Journal entries as required (eg.prepaid, accruals, payroll etc)
  • Review and analyse income statement and assisting with queries
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Assist with the completion of Statutory Accounts
  • Assist in preparing quarterly VAT return
  • Intercompany accounting
  • Fixed Asset accounting
  • Assisting in the month end and year end closing process
  • Establish, develop and strengthen working relationship throughout Celerion
  • Ad Hoc duties to support the Accountant


Qualifications and skills include

  • Must have either a finance related degree or be a qualified Accounting Technician or demonstrate that they have a firm grasp of Financial Reporting and control by experience.
  • A good working knowledge of ERP systems
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications: Excel required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and to deadline
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
Salary for this full-time role will be based on skills and experience and in the range 22-23000 GBP. An attractive benefits package is available including pension, holidays, life assurance, income protection insurance and private medical insurance.
