The Pharmacy Technician generally assists our clinical pharmacy in supporting our clinical trials. This includes: receiving and inventory of study medications (including controlled substances), drug tracking, labeling and set-ups, study randomizations, protocols and dosing, and audits.
Please note: This is a fulltime benefitted position, scheduled at 40 hours per week, with shift times occurring primarily M-F between 0600-1800. Occasional early morning or Saturday shift times may be required, with advance notice. Weekend on-call responsibilities are rotated.
High school diploma or GED Post High School education required; advanced studies preferred.
Experience in related work environment (clinical research/hospital/institutional) preferred.
Knowledge of United States Pharmacopeia guidelines, including chapter 797 required.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Knowledge of FDA/controlled substance laws preferred
General computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
